There is no doubt that Madrid is setting the standards for gays and lesbians worldwide. The International Photography and Visual Arts Festival will show the works of 248 photographers from 40 different countries. For this edition, almost sixty arts centres will exhibit images revolving around the theme of Everyday Life and the festival has increased the number of works and projects organised in various countries of Europe and Latin America.
As the Prado opens its doors to a large retrospective on Joaquín Sorolla, the Thyssen exhibits Matisse's works from the interwar period. The Reina Sofía welcomes the creations of sculptor Juan Muñoz while CaixaForum displays masterpieces of Islamic Art. All these exhibitions and many more are waiting for you in Madrid.
