Madrid shop

Located in the Plaza Mayor Tourist Center (Plaza Mayor, 27), it is open from 9.30am to 8.30pm every day of the year and has specialist multi-lingual staff. In the shop, under the ¡MADRID! brand, you will find a wide range of products, including music, documentaries, books, guidebooks, souvenirs and stationery.

The shop's star product is the MadridCard. The essential pass for your visit to the city, it grants you entry to all the top attractions, as well as large discounts. With it you can visit over fifty museums and monuments (including the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Royal Palace, where you have preferential admission without queuing), and enjoy the Official Guided Tours, and tours of the Bernabéu, Atlético de Madrid, and Las Ventas bullring. The card also gives you significant discounts in shops, restaurants and night clubs.

Music and audiovisual products

In the Madrid Shop you can buy the CD Always in Madrid, on the esMADRIDmusic label. This album combines improvisation and western jazz rhythms with tunes that have their roots in traditional Spanish music styles such as zarzuela, chotis, coplas, couplets and, of course, flamenco. The shop also sells Madrid, Madrid, Madrid, a modern version of the famous traditional chotis, by Ariel Rot and The Cabriolets.

Visitors can also choose from a series of documentaries produced jointly by Promoción Madrid and the Prado Museum, including La emoción del natural (Vida y obra de Joaquín Sorolla), Goya en tiempos de guerra, and El primer siglo del Prado.

T-shirts, souvenirs and bookshop

The shop sells fashionable T-shirts designed by twenty-one leading Spanish designers, including Roberto Verino, Jesús del Pozo, Miguel Palacio, and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, who have used them to present their view of the capital. A series of souvenirs based on the ¡MADRID! brand is also available: magnets, notebooks, pens, mugs, posters, postcards, maps, bags, and much more.

Madrid Shop also offers an extensive range of books dealing with Madrid, its history, art, curiosities, photography, and architecture, as well as novels and up-to-date guide books in many languages including English, French, German, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

Publications on sale include Madrid, 100 Masterpieces of Paintings for art lovers, architecture map, and the series Architectural Walks through Madrid: Madrid, Looking up to the Sky, Green Madrid, The Art Walk and Tiles in Madrid, which offer visits on foot to places of special interest and provide an original view of the city.

Ecological products

Visitors interested in sustainability should take a look at the new line of ecological products launched in 2011. It includes ecologically produced oil with the official Madrid designation of origin, stationery products made from tree branches, and seed paper which will sprout when you plant.
