HIGHLIGHTS

Marc Chagall

This is the first major retrospective in Spain on the Russian artist's work. The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum will be showing pieces from the painter's early years and from the period he spent in Paris. Meanwhile the Caja Madrid Foundation will be exhibiting work from Chagall's American period. 14 February to 20 May.

James Coleman

The first major retrospective on James Coleman (Ireland, 1941) includes the artist's most important works, dating from his stay in Milan in the 1970s to the present day. Coleman has transformed the temporal relationships between image and subject in contemporary visual arts through his use of audiovisual images taken using various methods.
