Below you will find all the week's film releases. And don't forget that Madrid boasts a total of eleven movie-houses showing films in their original language. Cine Doré, the exhibition hall of Filmoteca Española, screens an average of four films a day, consisting of both Spanish movies and subtitled foreign features in their original language. For documentaries or films which are no longer showing in cinemas, you will find just what you are looking for at La Casa Encendida or La Casa de América.

  • Katmandú, un espejo en el cielo (Spanish, no subtitles): A young teacher working in a shanty town strives to help the children in the area with the help of a Nepali whom she married out of convenience. Directed by Icíar Bollaín (También la lluvia) and starring Verónica Echegui.
  • Moneyball (English): After losing his main players, the general manager of a baseball club on a budget turns to a statistics expert to put together a new team and make it to the professional league. Starring Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Robin Wright and Philip Seymour-Hoffman.
