Twelve urban artists participate in this project that seeks to show how today’s artists live and work, their relationship with the environment and its influence on their work. They all offer their dual artistic and civic facet.
Through drawings, the artists Tamara Arroyo, Andrea Canepa, Daniel Chust Peters, Angela Cuadra, Miki Leal, Carlos Maciá, Teresa Moro, Fernando Renes, Daniel Silvo, Juan Ugalde, Keke Vilabelda and Martín Vitaliti tell of their own personal experience, their work, their interests, claims and concerns, so that the public can find out what is behind the work and the daily life of the artist, the daily battle against the evolution of the urban area.
The drawings of the participants display the contemporary creative diversity, based on the most standard medium, paper, taking it to its most expanded definition. The working life of the artist is similar to that of a drawing: fragile, precarious, difficult to conserve and needing of care and external aid.
