	Ifema is now the second largest trade fair site in the world. With an investment of 115 million euros and a surface area of 400,000 square metres, Ifema has grown to be the second largest trade fair site in the world, only behind Hanover, in Germany. More information

	The first aircraft powered by a hydrogen fuel cell has been built in Madrid. For the first time in aviation history, Boeing has flown a manned aircraft powered by hydrogen fuel cells; this feat has been achieved by a team of engineers from Boeing Research & Technology Europe en Madrid More information

	Madrid promotes itself as a world financial centre. The "Madrid Financial Centre" initiative has been presented, which aims to promote investment in the Madrid region, and to promote Madrid as one of the main financial centres in the world. More information
